Join us for a hands-on sculpture course designed for all levels, where you will explore the fascinating medium of clay. This course will guide you through the fundamentals of sculpture, including modeling, shaping, and finishing techniques.
Guided by our experienced instructors, participants will explore the properties of clay and learn how to manipulate it to achieve the desired forms.
What to expect:
Introduction to working with clay and tools.
Basic techniques: step-by-step demonstrations of the main sculpting techniques, from clay modeling to building an armature.
Proportion and form: techniques to create balanced sculptures, starting from bas-relief and progressing to fully three-dimensional works.
Details: adding texture and refined details to your work.
References: during the course, students will work using reference images and plaster casts.
Finishing: drying techniques and creating plaster molds for your sculptures.
Materials: all materials, including clay, tools, and workstation, are provided. Participants may also bring their own materials if they prefer.
Classes take place from Monday to Friday. Semi-intensive courses run from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Intensive courses run from 10:00am to 1:00pm and from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.
