The course begins with an introduction to all the main drawing techniques. In our studio, we focus on teaching two fundamental methods: sight-size and constructive drawing, excluding the use of grids and tracing. This approach helps students accurately measure proportions with their tools and draw precisely both from life and from imagination.
The program starts with individual drawing exercises, where the challenge is to represent subjects—from photographs and from life—in their exact dimensions and in the most realistic way possible. The course then continues with constructive drawing lessons, introducing students to a more advanced technique.
Throughout the course, the following topics are covered: proportions and measurements, shading techniques, and the use of different tools such as pencils, charcoal, and ink.
We provide reference images, plaster casts, and still life elements. For advanced students with previous artistic experience, we also teach drawing from imagination. The media used during the course include pencil, charcoal, and ink.
All materials are included.
Classes take place from Monday to Friday. Semi-intensive courses run from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Intensive courses run from 10:00am to 1:00pm and in the afternoon from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.
