Apollon Art Studio is led by teachers with complementary skills and deep experience in traditional artistic disciplines. All teachers teach in both Italian and English and are recognized for their availability, kindness, and attention to student growth. Their approach integrates technique, method, and historical references, creating a constant dialogue between practice and theory.
Apollon Avagyan
Founder
Apollon moved to Florence in 2008 to attend the Florence Academy of Fine Arts, where he earned his degree in painting and master’s in scenography. After a period teaching in various art schools in the city, he founded his studio with the idea that artists should be able to explore multiple disciplines to open their minds and master their profession.
His approach reflects the training of Renaissance artists, capable of moving with competence among different techniques.
Christina Monastero
Co-Founder
Born in New York, Christina graduated in Art History from Pace University. After working in marketing for various luxury brands in the design sector, she moved to Florence to focus on painting.
In the studio, she coordinates Apollon Art Studio’s communication and marketing activities, while continuing to dedicate herself to her personal works.
Giovanni Amato
Teacher
Giovanni showed a strong inclination for drawing from a young age. He earned his bachelor’s degree in painting from the Foggia Academy and subsequently his master’s in painting from the Florence Academy of Fine Arts, obtaining the highest grades in both programs.
Attentive to method and technique, he regularly participates in international group exhibitions and brings to the classroom a precise and rigorous approach to artistic practice.

Despite different backgrounds, the teachers share an educational vision based on daily practice, technical discipline, and historical understanding of art. Their presence creates a stimulating, welcoming study environment oriented toward the personal and professional growth of students.
