The goal of the course is to teach students the main techniques for creating sculptures in clay.

The program begins with the reproduction of bas-reliefs, then moves on to sculpture in the round, and finally to personal works designed by the student.

The material used during the course is clay. Students will work from existing sculptures, photographic references, and live models.

The course also includes lessons in artistic anatomy and drawing for sculptors. During these sessions, students learn the proportions, structure, and musculature of the human body in sculptural form, and practice drawing subjects from different angles.

In addition to clay modeling, students will also be introduced to plaster casting techniques.

At the end of the course, each student may choose to create a plaster cast of one of their works.

All materials are included in the course. Transportation of the sculptures is the responsibility of the student.
